Hi Lisa,
We use 4 styles
APA 6th
Harvard (based on Pears 'Cite them right' Harvard).
OSCOLA
MHRA
Doctoral students can negotiate with their supervisors to use something else if there is a strong rationale.
Best wishes,
Sue

Subject: Mandated referencing styles
Good morning all,
I'm interesting in discovering if any UK universities currently mandate a referencing style (or styles) to students across their institution. If your institution does mandate a specific referencing style, rather than a recommendation, I'd be grateful if you could let me know which style. To let you know our position at the University of Wolverhampton, we currently recommend our institutional version of Harvard, with a number of other styles for specific subject areas, e.g. OSCOLA for law.
Many thanks in advance.
