Registration for the Fragility Forum 2018 is now open!
Join practitioners and policymakers from across humanitarian, development, peace and security communities, to exchange knowledge and experience on driving the development agenda forward in places affected by fragility, conflict and violence on March 5-7, 2018 at the World Bank Group’s Headquarters in Washington, DC.
This year’s theme, Managing Risks for Peace and Stability, reflects a strategic shift in how the global community perceives and addresses Fragility, Conflict and Violence (FCV) – in particular by putting prevention first. Discussions will encompass how humanitarian, development, peace and security communities can complement and reinforce each other to tackle fragility across a broad spectrum of countries and contexts, emphasizing early action to manage risks. Helping host countries prepare and better manage refugee crises, crowding in private sector investment, the recognition that humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding efforts are complementary and need to reinforce each other to respond to volatile situations around the world and the role of women and youths will be featured prominently.
