24th Nordic Congress of Gerontology (24NKG) - the most important European meeting in ageing research this year.
The24NKG takes place in Oslo, Norway, on 2 to 4 May 2018. It will be a major international meeting with a strong Nordic flavor.
We are proud to have many world leaders in ageing research, including Ursula Staudinger, John Beard, Sandra Torres, Mika Kivimäki, Karen Andersen Ranberg among others, as our keynote speakers. In addition to the keynote talks, the program consists of 58 symposia, more than 100 free oral presentations talks and about 300 posters.
In the symposia, cutting edge findings from the different fields of ageing research will be discussed, such as new strategies in Alzheimer treatment by Bengt Winblad and Miia Kivipelto, extending working lives by Dorly Deeg and others, Grandparenthood in Europe and beyond by Martina Brandt. The effects of malnutrition on health and physical functioning in old age are explored in a symposium by Carol Jagger. We also arrange for you to meet the editors of the key journals in gerontology and geriatrics in Europe. They will provide valuable tips to get your work published.
Emerging new findings are reported in individual oral presentations and posters, including themes such as social inequalities, longevity, welfare technology, frailty, arts and humanities, family and intergenerational relations, biological ageing and many more.
The 24NKG will give you, as our slogan says, “A lesson of a life time”. Do not miss this event! Make sure to take advantage of the early bird registration until 1 February.
