Dear CAT12 user,
as you might have noticed in the past my CAT12 updates were rather driven by an agile software development. Unfortunately, many adaptations were necessary to consider newer quantitative or 7T data. This lead sometimes to confusion about compatibility of newer versions with older preprocessed data.
Thus, I will now try to keep the preprocessing pipeline more stable for longer periods and will use minor version numbers if the preprocessing will be affected, such as the new version CAT12.1 (r1250) from today. Of course I will not stop to add new features and bug fixes in the future, but preprocessing should be unaffected till the next minor version number. Hopefully, you will not flood me with worst case data in the next time so I can keep my promise ;-)
In the new version there will be also a new template mesh used as default that comes from the Human Connectome Project. This so-called 32k mesh (instead of the 164k mesh from Freesurfer) will be easier to process and will hopefully also ease some future processing of (r)fMRI data.
Best,
Christian
