I’ve translated ‘gwaith’ as mine(s) rather than the literal meaning, which is ‘works’ He refers often to ‘y wlad yma’ or ‘gwlad’ which I have taken to mean ‘this country’ (i.e. Wales) but it could also refer to a more localised area, round Aberystwyth/ Cardiganshire. Dolaucothi is a bit outside this area though.
