The External Examiners will be expected to provide informative comment and recommendations upon threshold academic standards, assessment of student achievement and comparability of standards and student achievement to other UK higher education institutions.

The appointment will start immediately and will run for three years. Full induction and training will be provided.

Please note the following restrictions
•external examiners must not have a close professional, contractual or personal relationship with a member of staff or a student involved with the programme of study;
•examiners should not hold more than the equivalent of two substantial external examinerships concurrently;
•no examiner may, within the previous five years have been a member of BPP staff or Academic Council, or a student or been an external examiner on a cognate programme in the University; nor may an examiner be a near relative of a member of staff of the University;
•an external examiner should not be engaged in recent or current substantive collaborative research activities with a member of staff closely involved in the delivery, management or assessment of the programme(s) or modules in question.
