The School of Geography, University of Leeds, welcomes applications for PhD funding through the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership’s Pathway and Advanced Quantitative Methods Studentship competitions. ESRC White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) PhD studentships 2018
Deadline for the following competitions is: 5pm Wednesday 24 January 2018 (17:00)
- WRDTP Pathway Studentship (50% funded by the DTP and 50% funded by the School of Geography or another funder).
- WRDTP Advanced Quantitative Methods Awards (100% funded by DTP).
The White Rose Social Sciences Doctoral Training Partnership (WRDTP), accredited by the ESRC in 2016, is a collaboration across the social sciences at the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield, York, Bradford, Sheffield Hallam, Hull, and Manchester Metropolitan. WRDTP will deliver excellent supervision, first class discipline and cutting-edge interdisciplinary research and transferable skills training (through membership of one of the DTP's thematic pathways - http://wrdtc.ac.uk/training-statements/) and a world-class intellectual environment for postgraduate research students. It will enable PhD students to participate in local, national and international networks of non-academic partners, opinion formers, policy makers, as well as leading academics.
