1. Aims and Scopes
Social sciences are now on a new state of development. One of the more
promising methodologies is agent-based modeling. The Pan-Asian
Association for Agent-Based Approach in Social Systems Sciences (PAAA)
is the Pan-Asian regional platform to explore the frontiers. Another
methodology that is gaining momentum in recent years is microsimulation
modeling. The International Microsimulation Association, launched in
October 2005, aims to encourage the advancement of microsimulation
research.
AESCS 2018, the regular conference of PAAA, mainly focuses on
applications of agent-based technologies to social complex systems.
Conference participants will present the latest results of various
researches, and discuss emergent phenomena and modeling issues of social
complex systems, which will provide further understanding on social
complex problems with agent-based technologies. AESCS 2018 will also
give opportunities to discuss the effectiveness and limitation of
computational models and methodologies for social sciences.
The AESCS 2018 conference is being organized jointly with the IMA
Asia-Pacific Regional Conference. The latter is the first Asia-Pacific
conference of the International Microsimulation Association being
organized outside Australia. The conference is open to all areas of
microsimulation including static, dynamic, behavioral, spatial models,
methodology, health and any other subjects under microsimulation.
