Dear UTSG colleague
We are undertaking some research on issues and methods associated with the appraisal of road infrastructure investment programmes. This is primarily within a cost benefit analysis framework. In an investment programme one or more projects may be contingent on another project being constructed - through either synergies between projects or because they compete with each other. If you are aware of any recent and/or relevant publications on the following topics we would be interested if you could let us know:
* Assessment synergies and substitutability between infrastructure projects
* Treatment in the uncertainty of whether one of the projects in the programme will be constructed and the impact on the rest of the programme if they are not constructed.
* Methods to minimise the amount of modelling that is needed to determine the programme components and the NPV of the whole programme and its components.
Thanks in advance,
Regards
James Laird
