Our group of local authorities owns a number of gas clams. We find the hourly data combined with borehole and atmospheric pressure provides a much better understanding of the dynamics of ground gas production than you get from discrete monitoring rounds. The argument is that flow rates are unnecessary if you have borehole pressure. As another 'line of evidence', we have experienced no pitfalls with the data obtained in addition to discrete rounds. Subject: GasClam System of Continuous Monitoring
I would be interested to read the views of others of the "GasClam" Continuous Monitoring System? In particular if any users or regulators have experience of any pitfalls with this equipment? I am concerned that it is not designed to detect flow rates.
Kind Regards,
