Dear Colleagues,
The research training school GRK2112 at the University of Würzburg announces a "Symposium on Molecular Biradicals" which takes place from February 27th to March 2nd 2018 in the Würzburg Residence, a UN world heritage site. The symposium will cover all aspects of biradicals, ranging from their synthesis and their investigation by quantum chemistry and spectroscopy to aspects relevant for material science. The following eminent scientist have accepted our invitation and will present a lecture at the Symposium:
Manabu Abe (Hiroshima)
Christopher Bardeen (UCLA)
Holger Bettinger (Tübingen)
Leticia Gonzalez (Vienna)
Anna Krylov (USC)
Josef Michl (Boulder/Prague)
Thomas Prisner (Frankfurt)
Wolfram Sander (Bochum)
Albert Stolow (Ottawa)
Suning Wang (Kingston)
Oliver Wenger (Basel)
The Symposium will start with a plenary lecture on Tuesday (Feb. 27th) evening, followed by a welcome mixer. There will be a poster session on Wednesday evening. Note that several spots for oral contributions are available, talks will be selected among the submitted poster abstracts.
Further information can be obtained from our website
https://www.uni-wuerzburg.de/grk2112/symposium_2018/
A first circular is available for download and the website will be continuously updated. Please register through our website until Dec. 22nd, 2017. As part of the social program there is an optional wine tasting planned for Thursday evening.
Please forward the information to coworkers and colleagues that might be interested in participating. We would like to welcome in particular young scientists from all areas of chemistry and molecular physics at the Symposium.
We are looking forward to meeting you in Würzburg 2018. With best regards on behalf of the organizing committee
