Thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Leonard Cheshire Archive will be holding an exhibition at the OXO Tower, London from 4-8th October. Entry is free of charge.
The exhibition is multimedia and the space is accessible.
The exhibition will feature films, photographs and stories from the charity’s archive, sharing recollections of disabled people, staff and volunteers involved with the charity from 1948 to the present day. Visitors can also learn about the life of Leonard Cheshire, the charity’s founder.
Pioneering films created by disabled people living at the charity’s residential homes in the 1950s and 1960s will be on display, along with oral history interviews recorded for heritage project Rewind in 2016 and 2017.
Please do go along if you can. More can be found by clicking this link http://www.oxotower.co.uk/events/leonard-cheshire-disability-rewind/
