Dear Jake
> I have a design matrix with two columns of onset times (for our two conditions of interest) and eight columns of nuisance regressors (motion and physiologic noise). I would like to specify 6 different model spaces and then use the batch tool to copy the model spaces over to other subjects.
Great - although I think you mean 1 model space consisting of 6 models.
> First I specified my 6 DCM's for one subject going through all steps in the GUI. Then copied those DCM files to another subject. Then selected those DCM's in the "Region Specification" module and updated with the new subject's VOI's. In the "Input Specification" module, I used dependency to select the updated DCM files and picked the new subject's SPM.mat file, and specified session number (in our case, always [1]).
Perfect.
> Then, I'm unsure about the "Inputs". I am including two conditions (the first two columns in the design matrix) that drive/modulate various areas in the DCM's, so I believe I should click "New: Values" twice. I don't know what I should be entering into the "Values" array, though. If I just want the first "Values" array to be my first condition and the second "Values" array to be the second condition, should my arrays be [1] and [0 1], respectively? Is that going to leave out the nuisance columns?
You are right that this is confusing. You should indeed click New: Values twice, and for each one, just put [1]. You would only need to do differently if you had parametric modulators - see the help text in spm_dcm_U.m for more information on that.
Best
