£38,779 to £49,888 per annum incl. London Allowance

The Department of Arts & Humanities is seeking to appoint a qualified and highly committed individual to join the Film and TV team, to effectively and efficiently undertake a range of duties associated with teaching, research and administration.
We are seeking a candidate with an active practice and recognised profile as a filmmaker to deliver practical modules in the broad area of film production. Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in creative production and a commitment to quality teaching. While we will consider candidates from a range of specialisations we will prioritise candidates qualified to teach narrative and fiction filmmaking. Experience with new directions in motion picture practice is desirable, as are scholarship and publications in film/ television/ media history and critical studies.
The appointee will be research active and committed to academic excellence and continuous improvement. The candidate will have an understanding of current debates and theoretical issues relevant to film practice, and experience of integrating research and practice in their film/video work and teaching. They will also have excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to both inspire and guide students.
The candidate will also be expected to participate in at least one of the College research centres, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability and Global Lives, or a University Research Institute
