Dear all,
please find below information about AHI's upcoming training workshop:
A Recipe for inclusion – Interpretation through Food
A new training workshop is being offered by the Association for Heritage
Interpretation. Taking place on 6th November at Heckington Windmill, near
Sleaford, the ‘Recipe for Inclusion – Interpretation through Food’
workshop will be exploring food based connections and stories, helping you
understand how food can provide the ‘Relate’ factor for visitors within
many heritage interpretation experiences.
The day will include presentations, activities and group work to entice
your thinking and taste buds! and will cover a range of topics including
perceptions and multi-sensory aspects of food, and how to apply
food-related experiences to a range of sites and subjects.
Although in rural Lincolnshire, Heckington Windmill is easily accessible
by train with only 2 hours travel from Kings Cross or York via Grantham,
and the cost of the event is £60 for AHI members and £80 for non-members.
