The Institute of Computational Biology is a globally recognized
department for innovations in data analysis and modeling of biological
systems, anchored at the Helmholtz Zentrum Munich and the Technical
University Munich. We are at the forefront of developing robust and
innovative methods to ultimately advance our understanding of human
health and disease. To that end, we work on the integration of vast
amounts of biological and biomedical data by using and developing
machine learning, statistical and bioinformatics techniques.
In the areas of single cell genomics, data integration and machine
learning/statistical learning we are currently seeking to hire three or more

Job Description
- Method development including implementation, evaluation and extension
of methods
- Advancing existing single-cell analysis or multi-omics data
integration methods
- Biological interpretation of data
- Research in collaborative projects or research consortia
Your Qualifications
- PhD degree in bioinformatics, computer science, data science,
mathematics, statistics, physics or equivalent
- Background in machine learning, NGS analysis, multi-omics integration,
bioinformatics, statistical learning or related areas depending on the
project
- Passion for science and reproducible scientific work
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Being comfortable in interacting with colleagues in an
interdisciplinary setting
