Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position based at DESY. The
successful applicant will work on projects of mutual interests with Prof.
Huirong Yan. Applicants with expertise on MHD simulations, plasma and/or
cosmic ray physics are particularly encouraged to apply. The position is
limited to 2 years with the opportunity of an extension.
As one of Germany's largest research centres, DESY carries out fundamental
research that creates new knowledge and new conceptual approaches. It
conducts a broad spectrum of inter-disciplinary scientific research in various
areas including astroparticle physics. DESY experts are playing leadership
roles in a number of international projects in astroparticle physics,
including IceCube and CTA.
Salary and benefits are commensurate with those of public service
organisations in Germany. Classification is based upon qualifications and
