Sigfox has decent enough coverage to handle this use case - I live
half a mile down the road from your museum, and my circuit works fine!
You'd be really unlucky to not get it working.
However, there is a limit of 140 messages a day which limits you to 1
message every 11 minutes. With small data packets, and smart coding,
however, you could package data from 11 one minute intervals into a
single message.
If you wanted to experiment with Sigfox (to see if the data you've
collected makes an impact on visitors) before getting the LPWAN
gateway installed then "all" you need is a suitable Arduino (e.g.
https://snootlab.com/lang-en/snootlab-shields/829-akeru-beta-33-en.html)
and waterproof mounting box. It's then up to you how this information
is displayed to the public.
Disclaimer: I've no affiliation with Sigfox, and no idea what they
charge, but I was given a developer account and circuit board a couple
of years ago and have been experimenting with it on occasion.
