As part of the Computational and Applied Mathematics Initiative at the University of Chicago, the Department of Statistics invites applications from exceptionally qualified candidates for faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor.
The University of Chicago has recently established an undergraduate major in Computational and Applied Mathematics as well as a new PhD program in Computational and Applied Mathematics.
We seek individuals doing advanced research in computational and applied mathematics or in related fields. It is expected that successful applicants will teach in both undergraduate and graduate levels of this program and engage in the direction of doctoral dissertations. Interdisciplinary collaboration is particularly valued.
