The Nonclinical Biostatistics group at Roche has an opportunity for an exceptionally talented and self-motivated statistician to support our global manufacturing organization. Our statisticians partner with scientists and engineers to develop new medicines (biologics and small molecules) and improve commercial operations. We work as full members and key partners of multi-disciplinary teams. We combine our expertise in applied statistics with our business knowledge to solve the right statistical problems and to provide strategic input to maximize business impact.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the global, cross functional, process capability team that is characterizing our manufacturing network. Other responsibilities include statistical consulting with engineers at our manufacturing sites, and small molecule process development work.
Requirements:
This position requires a PhD in Statistics or equivalent academic training combined with industrial experience. Knowledge of design of experiments, statistical process control, sampling, time series, mathematical statistics, relational databases, and computing (R or SAS) is preferred. Strong communication skills and a passion for collaboration and learning is a must. Experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry is preferred but not required. Some travel will be required.
