Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research fellow position to work on the project "Novel Bayesian methods for comparing and evaluating infectious disease models in the light of partially observed data".
The position is part of a Medical Research Council funded project to develop new Bayesian methodology for comparing, evaluating, developing and improving infectious disease models that have been fitted to incomplete data. Such methods have the potential to unlock new approaches for understanding the epidemiology of infection and set new benchmarks for the use of epidemic models to underpin quantitative prediction and decision-making. The new methods will be applied to and illustrated with important infectious epidemiological datasets. The postholder will become a part of the world-renowned Department of Statistics at the University of Warwick and will have the opportunity to collaborate with researchers in the newly established Zeeman Institute.
