A great opportunity has arisen with the NHS for a Senior GIS Analyst, to be based at our Bristol office.
The Geographic Intelligence and Mapping Team, within the Business Intelligence division, provide GIS and analytical support to Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and NHS England across the South of England, and nationally in some cases. The service continues to grow and more and more customers are agreeing service contracts with us, and therefore we are expanding to meet this increased demand.
We handle a varied and interesting workload of regular GIS analysis, development and reporting and ad-hoc investigative analysis, dealing with many aspects of healthcare; primary and secondary care as well as community-based services. We also provide expert advice and support to colleagues throughout our partner organisations, and liaise with many beyond. Furthermore, the GI & Mapping team have developed a range of web GIS solutions which we deliver to our customers and partners and continue to develop these further.
The post would suit an experienced and innovative GIS Analyst, with skills in analysing, interpreting and presenting information using MapInfo and other specialist GIS software, as well as Ordnance Survey data. Technical expertise will be essential, particularly using GIS to connect to a range of data sources such as SQL.The ability to script in python, and use of web technologies would be desirable, though we will consider a candidate who is keen to learn and develop skills in these areas.

The salary scale for this role is £26,565 - £35,577.
