Within the university Registry provides a range of innovative and high quality support services for our students and staff. Working in Student Planning & Reporting Services, this role will deliver high quality reporting, analysis and insights from the results of our key student surveys.
We are seeking to appoint an individual who has a passion for data and who is able to work innovatively and independently to expand and enhance our portfolio of reports relating to survey outcomes, as well as analysing and advising on our related metrics-based performance in published League Tables and the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
The successful candidate will have good knowledge and experience of working with qualitative and quantitative survey data to produce operational and strategic reports that offer insight into patterns, trends and themes in student feedback. They will possess excellent data visualisation and report writing skills supported by expertise with a variety of tools such as Excel, Access, SPSS, SAS and Business Objects. They will also have highly developed communication skills and the ability to confidently present and disseminate complex analysis to a wide range of stakeholders, as well as being able to develop wider networks within the sector.
This is a new role in a supportive and enthusiastic team and offers an exciting opportunity to help shape and develop a key business area in the university.

Our diverse team of professionals provide service support in areas relating to fees and student finance, registration, planning, timetabling and the provision of management information, as well as student record related external reporting.
Our team's work is always varied, and involves working collaboratively with other services, and faculties, to deliver the best possible service and contribute to University wide development projects. In order to continue to meet the increasing demand for high quality reports and analyses, we are seeking to appoint an experienced analyst to develop and implement solutions for a wide range of internal and external planning and reporting challenges relating to student data.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record working with relational databases, SQL, complex datasets and have experience using a variety of tools such as SAS, Business Objects and Excel. They will also have highly developed communication skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects to deliver customer focused innovative solutions.
This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to lead on technical developments within a key business area, in response to the growing information environment.

Within the university Registry provides a range of innovative and high quality support services for our students and staff. Working in Student Planning & Reporting Services, this role will be responsible for the development of the modelling, analysis and reporting of student numbers to support academic colleagues, Financial Services, and senior managers across the university.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and confident analyst to develop and implement solutions relating to the planning and forecasting of student numbers and tuition fees, and to manage and enhance the supporting report and analysis portfolio.
The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of statistical techniques (including predictive modelling), data presentation and report writing methods supported by practical expertise with software such as SAS and Excel. They will also have highly developed communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex analysis to a wide range of stakeholders, and to be able to translate requirements into innovative, sustainable and engaging products.
This is a new role in a supportive and enthusiastic team, and is an exciting opportunity to lead and make an impact in a significant area of strategic business importance within the University.
