ACADEMIC ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

Job Description
This role will be an exciting opportunity to help lead The National Archives' relationship with its academic audience, which consists of individual academics, postgraduates, other research organisations, and academic funders. This role will work across our academic audience ensuring that The National Archives' academic engagement is strategic, visible, and aligned with our key corporate objectives and strategies. The Academic Engagement Manager will work closely with colleagues within our Academic Engagement and Research teams, and across the wider organisation, to support and deliver high-profile events, conferences, and initiatives which will showcase The National Archives' own research function, the strength of our academic partnerships, and scale of our ambition as an Independent Research Organisation (IRO). This will include developing and launching a series of high-profile academic open days, conferences, and seminars. The role will offer its holder the opportunity of engaging with a wide portion of our academic audience in varied and innovative ways, often working in partnership to overcome shared challenges. The post holder will take intellectual leadership for content and design whilst also working closely with colleagues within our Archive Sector Development department, Marketing and Communications, and other key departments to ensure that our academic engagement activities are aligned with those occurring across organisation.
Salary: Band F (£31,856 - £38,000)
