Good morning Alejandra Efron,
If you would be kind enough to let me have your postal address I will send you a 7 minute. DVD concerning Eco-Link. This is our "B" Double that has steering also on the two axles of the link trailer and can thus respect the EU turning cIrcle: that is turning through 360 degrees between two concentric circles of radii 12.5M and 5.3M. All new EU highways and trucks and coaches built since 1990 conform to this standard.
On a sharp turn the rear 'step out' is reduced from 1.6m on standard EU artic to 0.95m
This was tested by British Transport Advisory Council over 10 years ago.
We have the DVD available in English, Dutch, French and German, sorry no Spanish. It is slightly out of date in that it can now be steered in reverse. This a achieved by giving the driver a hand held devise. He does not touch the steering wheel when reversing. The tractor follows the rig slavishly. He now has four CCTV cameras thus can reverse into a loading dock more safely and quickly than a standard artic.
The original design was done by Jack Goodwins at our request. Jack was the chief designer of Crane Fruehauf Trailers, Dereham for many years.
The steering controls are supplied by VSE company of Veenendaal ,NL.
Overall length 25.25m. Distance pin to pin is 8.75m
Regards,
Dick Denby

Subject: Reports of B-double and other HCV safety performance
Hi all,
almost ready to launch in Argentina as a whole, I need your help asap to counterattack those who still state B-doubles are unsafe because of their length.
I need a few reports like the one from Australian NTI, where it shows exactly the opposite, and actually states that the B-doubles continue to be the best performer from a loss and safety perspective (page 20 of the last report)
It can be any HCV and the bigger the better actually. and the more visual the better as well.
Thanks
Ale
