Good Afternoon
Our site is having a new storage facility built with a hypoxic fire suppression system. This will be a fully automated area, however there will be a requirement for staff/ 3rd parties to enter for racking inspection, maintenance and cleaning. The level of O2 will be set to 13.9% and therefore breathing apperatus is likely to be required in the area.
I have previously done safety critical medicals in other employment for confined space and BA users and I assume this type of medical would be suitable to assess an indivduals fitness. Does anyone have a procedure for a medical that covers working in a hypoxic area with BA that they could share with me as a guide.
Thanks in advance
Fay
