The Institute for the Study of International Development (ISID) at McGill University is seeking applications from U.S. scholars for a:
Fulbright Canada Visiting Research Chair in International Development Studies
Deadline: August 1
US$25,000 for 4 months (September 2018 or January 2019)
Brad Hector Fulbright Canada Program Officer (Scholars)
Hosted at the Institute for the Study of International Development (ISID), this Chair is open to established or emerging scholars in international development, whose research focuses on the theme of “Governance in a Developing World”. Within that general theme, the proposed Chair should work within one of the following research clusters: poverty and inequality, governance and society, environment and sustainability. This Chair is open with respect to region of study, methodology, approach and disciplinary focus. As a multi-disciplinary institute, ISID welcomes scholars of international development based in fields such as Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Management, Political Science, Public Health, and Sociology.
The Chair-holder will be in residence at ISID for one semester, and beyond doing research, is expected to deliver one public lecture in the ISID speaker series, as well as engage with our community of researchers and scholars, through regular attendance at ISID events.
Specialization: International Development Studies, Governance, Sustainable Development, Formal and Informal Institutions.
