The MA in Global Media Management, Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton is looking for an external examiner from 2017-18.
Global Media Management is a large MA, a research-led programme, applying critical debates and industry perspectives to the investigation of media organisations, consumers and audiences, and digital innovation. Students engage with the transformations of news, entertainment, and communication media through the global development of the Internet, social networks, and mobile media. The programme aims to develop students’ critical understanding of the technological, cultural and political implications of these changes, and the hands-on and practical skills to engage with and shape them.

Whilst the assessed work is primarily scholarly in nature, the programme is developing digital media production methods and approaches to research and presentation, so we would welcome interest from media academics with digital production experience or an interest in a creative, art school context for critical media studies.
Please contact the programme leader Dr Dan Ashton ([log in to unmask]) with expressions of interest, and please include a 2 page CV detailing appropriate interests and experience.
