Dear Ms Hoffnung,
What does the outline look like? Is it definitely a 'maze' rather than a
decoy pond, some of which are quite complicated?
Cheers,
Neil Campling

Subject: WATER MAZES QUERY
We received the following query from one of our County Gardens Trusts.
Does anyone have any information about water mazes as this is something I
have not come across before?
Fingers crossed
Best wishes

Subject: water maze
In the central Lake District there is what is thought to be the outline /
remnants of a C19th water maze. Despite searching on the Internet and
elsewhere, we can find no record of something similar, only the modern one
at Hever. In your vast records, do you happen to know of any which might
assist us in nudging such a project forward?
All good wishes
