The University of Derby are seeking a new External Examiner for the MSc Supply Chain Improvement. The start date is expected to be Sept 2017.

An overview of the role and responsibilities includes:
 
1.Confirming the comparability of standards of student performance at the University of Derby with those of similar modules at other UK Institutions of Higher Education; confirming that the assessment process in its entirety is sound, and has been fairly conducted.
2.Reporting and advising on the above by means of approving coursework and examination papers and providing an annual report to the University.
3.Confirm standards are appropriate by reference to published national subject benchmarks, the National Qualifications Framework and the University’s programme and module specifications.
4.Moderation of samples of work for each of the modules at level 7. You will also be required to attend Assessment Boards as appropriate.  
5.You should have appropriate expertise/experience in Supply Chain related subject areas, such as operations, storage and distribution, strategy and modelling techniques.
