Multiple fully-funded PhD positions are available in Terry Frankcombe's
Computational Reaction Dynamics group at the University of New South
Wales, Canberra campus. We are seeking motivated and talented students
who have or will soon complete their Masters degree to undertake
doctoral studies on a range of projects.
One position is available as a UNSW Scientia Scholar. Only very high
quality applicants will be considered for this prestigious position, for
research in electron-hole pair effects in gas-surface reactions. For

Multiple other positions are available in a range of theoretical and
computational chemistry and materials science projects, including
gas-surface reactions, quantum dynamics, materials modelling
methodology, space science and reactive materials.
Subject to meeting the UNSW Canberra scholarship conditions, full
financial support includes covering tuition fees, a living cost stipend,
health insurance cover, and funding to cover e.g. research-related
travel costs.
Minimum qualification is a research Masters degree or other degree
equivalent to a UNSW first class Honours degree. Masters by coursework
(less than 50% research) is not usually sufficient. A background in
chemistry, applied mathematics and/or scientific programming is
advantageous. Students will be required to provide recent certification
