Hi,
I am trying to use image calc for the first time am having trouble with the expression part, I wonder if anyone has any experience with this?
I am using a toolbox which includes a mask of the brain (binary mask) that includes the cerebellum (original mask A). I also have a second brain atlas which specifically outlines all regions of the brain but for grey matter only (mask B). I know that all of the cerebellar grey matter regions are i2 < 107. (I hope this makes sense?). I want to get rid of the cerebellum from the original mask A.
I have entered the two images into the image calc gui in SPM and entered the following expression
expression: 1.*(i2<107)
To my amazement, this worked, almost. This does a great job of removing the cerebellum, but it also removes the white matter in the brain, which I don't want.
Does anyone know how I can manage to get the original mask A - only the cerebellum. I am terrible with the expressions for imagecalc, so please feel free to be specific :)
Thanks in advance,
J
