Hi
At the Faculty of English in Cambridge (and across Arts subjects
generally here) we pretty much stick exclusively to training about Zotero.
It's free, it goes with you when you finish, it does footnotes really
really nicely, it has some great add-on functionality - Zotfile for eg
for advanced pdf management which any student who has seen this just
thinks is amazing. All the staff who train in it also use it themselves
for their own professional development, we package it up into research
work flow and time management teaching as well, and it generally suits
our subject area well. It also has good connecting apps for ipad -
zotpad - and works nicely with papership.
We'll mention other types of products eg mainly Endnote or Mendeley but
usually to PhD students.
Best wishes,
Libby
