Short course: USING SIMULATION STUDIES TO EVALUATE STATISTICAL METHODS
A systematic approach to planning, programming, analysing and reporting simulation studies.

Course Aims:
• Explain the rationale for simulation
• Describe the importance of careful planning • Provide the tools to code and debug simple simulation studies in Stata • Explain how to analyse simulation studies producing appropriate estimates of uncertainty • Suggest ways to present methods and results for publication

Practicals will be taught using Stata. Laptops are not provided for this course; please ensure you bring your own with Stata installed – or come with a friend who is bringing a laptop!
