Hello,
it is an interesting question in how far the impression of
lateralization from multiple subjects in a group would differ from the
lateralization from the GLM over the whole group, but not one I have
investigated in much detail.
In any case, I don't know why you would want to assess T-maps at the
first level (which I agree with) but F-maps at the second? If at all, I
would rather suggest to also look at T-maps on the second level, but in
my humble opinion, I think that the true variance in the group(s) is
better reflected in the collection of individual LI-values from the
first-level maps, as you are interested in the group differences, not in
the difference between the two group "GLM means" (or at least, I would be ;)
