We currently have an internship available our London office. This is paid, with the potential for a full-time position thereafter.
The Role:
Working alongside our Communications, Community Engagement & University Liaison teams, the role will involve:
- Online research into cutting-edge areas of technology
- Liaising online and offline with both large multinational corporations and SMEs across the globe, to identify potential collaborations between -
businesses and university-developed technologies
- Managing internal and external data
- Liaising with colleagues to create communications strategies that include social media
- Contributing to topical feature content pieces periodically throughout the year
Essential Attributes:
- Be a graduate from any degree discipline (STEM subjects or Post-Graduate level degrees are preferred)
- Ideally have some experience of scheduling, though this isn’t essential
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the business
- Have the ability to keep accurate records of work
- Be able to work to strict deadlines, to a high standard
- Be excited to take ownership of a role and driven by an enjoyment for understanding new research and its transition into commercial applications
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Have knowledge of IT suites (such as Microsoft office) and exceptional online research skills
- Have previous experience with social media and knowledge of social media strategies
- Possess some knowledge of research areas within Science and Engineering disciplines or High-Tech sectors, and ideally have some knowledge or experience of technology transfer.
Desirable Attributes:
- Postgraduate degree: scientific or engineering discipline / science-communication related course
- Knowledge of, or experience within, technology transfer
