Dear All,
Please see attached csv version of the Historic Characterisation Thesaurus, and the full text version (pdf). The FISH thesauri are all available as hierarchical and alphabetical lists - get in touch with us if you are interested in any of these and are unable to download them from the FISH website. Additional formats, such as SKOS and LOD, are available on the heritagedata.org website: http://www.heritagedata.org/blog/vocabularies-provided/
Please note that Data Standards Unit (DSU) have changed name to Knowledge Organisation Specialists (KOS).
Kind regards,
Tanja

Dear Grahame
How annoying! Unfortunately, I haven't come across it online anywhere else.
Paul Adams or another colleague in the Data Standards Unit may know of another source - otherwise, and if this is a widespread issue, we could circulate a copy on the Forum.
Paul, any thoughts?
Best wishes
Roger

Dear Roger,
Is this document available from another source? The council's web blocker has identified the URL as from a personal blog and has blocked it!

Dear Stella
HE (Data Standards Unit) released a 'Historic Characterisation Thesaurus' in 2015:

which might help.
Best wishes

Subject: Landscape Types
Good evening,
Just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a thesaurus or vocab list of landscape types - rural, urban, coastal, uplands, lowlands etc. I'm sure I use landscapey words that most people would understand, but I'd rather use an 'official' list if possible. I've spent quite a while on Google looking for one, but I can't seem to find anything.
Thanks,
Stella
