Dear all:
I’d like to call your attention for a PhD opportunity with the Machine Learning for Mobility group (MLM) of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The call is detailed here:
http://www.dtu.dk/english/career/job?id=7f149f54-0ff7-413b-9458-a6287f7ddddb
The application deadline is May 10.
This PhD will combine new types of data (e.g. aggregated Wifi traces, textual data) into demand prediction modeling for autonomous mobility (with focus on two on-campus autonomous bus initiatives, in Copenhagen and in Singapore). The research focus will be strongly methodological since current Machine Learning or statistical approaches do not solve this type of problem satisfactorily, particularly under non-recurrent circumstances (e.g. special events, incidents). Topics to explore include multi-output models, correlated time-series, behavior modeling, probabilistic graphical models and deep learning.
If you want to join our newly created, fast evolving, very international group (before we get a website, please check http://camara.scripts.mit.edu/home/), and embark in a very exciting journey, consider applying! :-)
All the best
Francisco Pereira
