Effective immediately, there is an open post-doctoral position in the School of Engineering at Brown University. The research involves the development of theoretical and computational techniques for computer-generated elementary kinetic mechanisms, with specific applications for liquid-phase and real-gas systems. The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in chemistry, applied physics, chemical engineering, materials science or equivalent. Additional requirements are expert skills in scientific computing, software development, and version control (primarily in Python); experience with electronic structure methods (both DFT and wavefunction); and strong communication skills.
