Hello all,
Our staff at the university have access to a remote desktop server to access standard software off campus such as Microsoft Office and email. We don’t offer a remote desktop service to students but this is being considered.
I am interested in finding out how other institutions are providing remote desktop services to staff and students.
Do you provide remote desktop services solely to staff or to both staff and students?
Do you use a VPN to provide remote access services for your staff?
Do you provide specialist software via your remote desktop in addition to standard Microsoft Office applications and email?
Any comments would be welcome.
Regards
Nadine
