The Group on Literary Archives and Manuscripts (GLAM) is a free membership group open to anyone working with or interested in literary collections. The vibrant work of our members has been well documented in the March 2017 edition of the Archives and Records Association ARC magazine.
GLAM hosts two members meetings a year. News of events and acquisitions is shared with members via email and the GLAM website:
http://glam-archives.org.uk/
The next meeting of GLAM is being held 27th March at the V&A Blythe House (12pm-4.45pm).
The programme has two strands:
1. Literary Collections in Museums - the V&A will be in conversation with David Wood OBE on his experience working with the museum and depositing his archive at Seven Stories. We also have speakers from Seven Stories and the Fitzwilliam Museum
2. Processing a digital literary collection - a speaker from the British Library will talk about the Carmen Callil digital archive and their experience of automated processing and mapping to ISAD(G).
The meeting will include the GLAM BGM and election of officers.
If any list members would like to join GLAM and/ or attend the meeting on 27th March please contact me off-list.
