We are happy to announce the 1st edition of the Valencia International Bayesian
Summer School (VIBASS) that will take place from the 17th to the 21th of July
2017 in Valencia (Spain). VIBASS is a 5-day summer school that offers an
opportunity to be introduced into Bayesian reasoning without previous knowledge
in the subject. The first two-days will comprise an introduction to Bayesian
learning, with conceptual and practical sessions. The next 2-days will be
focused on a particular topic. This year, Prof. Aki Vehtari will give a 2-day
workshop on 'Bayesian inference with STAN'. Finally, the last day will be
devoted to the First VIBASS Workshop where attendants can present posters
based on their work.
VIBASS is organised by the VABAR research group (Universitat de
Valencia, http://vabar.es) and supported by BIOSS. More information about the

SCHEDULE
- 17-18 July 2017: Introduction to Bayesian learning (12 hours), with
conceptual sessions in the morning and practical sessions on basic Bayesian
R packages in the afternoon.
