JOB: Senior Research Associate (Statistician)
This post offers an excellent opportunity for a keen researcher with an interest in statistical methods for evidence synthesis to work on a range of applied and methodological projects in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) within the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Guidelines Technical Support Unit (TSU). The post holder will work in collaboration with others to support the use of advanced statistical methods in NICE guidelines and will also support research into statistical methods as part of other projects.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to high impact statistical methodological work, to collaborate with NICE and the multi-disciplinary teams responsible for guideline development, directly influencing policy and gaining experience of a wide range of Bayesian methods for synthesis and their application to different clinical areas.
The successful applicant will be part of the Multi-Parameter Evidence Synthesis (MPES) research group (http://www.bristol.ac.uk/social-community-medicine/projects/mpes/) and will based at the University of Bristol, working with Dr Sofia Dias and Dr Nicky Welton and other members of the MPES team.
Salary: £36,001 - £40,523 per annum
Contract type: Open ended with funding available until 31 March 2020, Full time (part-time will be considered)
