Dear colleagues,
We would like to bring to your attention the following post in UCL’s new Cosmoparticle Initiative that will be hosted in the refurbished Kathleen Lonsdale Building:
http://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/AXA168/project-manager-and-executive-assistant/
The Initiative will bring together researchers from UCL’s Astrophysics, High Energy Physics and Mullard Space Science Laboratory groups in order to work on areas at the interface of cosmology and particle physics. This position is related to setting up the new initiative, helping staff to secure funding, organising science meetings and generally making things run smoothly. As a Grade 7 post, a recently-finished PhD student or early postdoc could be an ideal candidate. There will be scope for someone with a research background to provide creative input into the planning of this new venture.
As stated on the job description, the specific administrative skills can be acquired through training on the job for any candidiate with translatable skills from a research background. This makes the position an exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to make a transition from science into university administration.
If you have any informal queries please feel free to contact us!
Best wishes
Hiranya Peiris (Cosmoparticle Initiative director)
Andrew Pontzen (deputy director)
