Strange how there is no mentions of farmers, house builders, road
builders, canal builders, industry. Which appears from what we know of
archaeology to be far more important. Because farming, house &
industrial building, and transport have affected the landscape have
clearly had the biggest human affect on the landscape historically.
However, to be fair to conservationists, they are doing their best to
have the same kind of impact. The biggest change in our locality
recently, has been that the "conservationists" chopped down a >150 year
old wood to "save the environment" and in Scotland these
"conservationists" have utterly destroyed much the landscape through
their bird and bat mincers - so perhaps they do deserve to be on the list!
