Job opportunity - Sector Grants and Development Manager
Closing date: Wednesday 1st March
Are you a grants and funding professional who would like to make a real difference for heritage in the UK?
The National Archives is currently recruiting for a Sector Grants and Development Manager who will manage our funding schemes to the archive sector including the revision and relaunch of major grant schemes in association with key partners. The role will also run an innovative and exciting programme of training which will equip archivists with the skills they need to identify their funding goals and to meet these from a variety of sources.
This role offers a great opportunity for a skilled professional to join a dedicated team that is tasked with using horizon scanning and policy analysis to shape and deliver effective programmes and policies to support sustainability and resilience in the archive sector. It will also include the opportunity to work with colleagues to support our funding bids for fantastic programmes that have direct benefit to archives (programmes have previously been funded through Heritage Lottery Fund's Catalyst and Skills for the Future programmes).
The National Archives is the UK's archive of government and also the lead organisation for the archive sector. This role is placed within Archives Sector Development which is the main focus for The National Archives' leadership of the archives sector and its responsibilities under the Royal Warrant of the HMC. Our purpose is to ensure sustained or improved preservation of and access to the nation's archive collections across the private, public and voluntary sectors.
