PhD Studentships available in the Astrophysics Research Centre, Queen's
University Belfast.
We welcome applications from students wishing to undertake a PhD with us
starting in September/October 2017. Projects advertised cover both
theoretical and observational research and are in the fields of Solar
Physics, Comets & Asteroids, Exoplanets, Supernovae, Astrophysical
Transients and Accretion Disks.
For PhDs, we will normally consider applicants holding, or expecting to
obtain in 2017, a UK MSci/Mphil (or equivalent) degree in physics,
astronomy or a related discipline with 2.1 or higher classification (or
international equivalent).
We have a number of fully funded PhD studentships available for UK
residents. Please note that for EU residents these awards cover FEES ONLY
and no maintenance award.

The deadline for applications is Friday February 10th 2017. All
applications received by then will be reviewed immediately and interviews
will be held shortly thereafter.
