This is a great opportunity to lead the WWARN Communications team. The WWARN Head of Advocacy and Communications is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction, as well as day-to-day implementation, for WWARN’s communications and advocacy activities.
The Worldwide Antimalarial Resistance Network's (WWARN) advocacy and communications efforts encourage and secure important engagement from researchers and clinicians across the malaria community. The Communications Team play a critical role in supporting the Network’s research activities which are designed to have a long-lasting impact on public health.

You will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject (such as a CIPR/CIM Diploma, MBA, or MPA) with management experience in an international setting in communications and/or advocacy programmes. You will have the ability to lead, motivate and engage with others at a senior level in the UK and internationally and be able to understand complex academic projects and communicate key messages to specialist and non-specialist audiences. You should also have significant experience of working with researchers, development professionals and/ or academics. Fluency in French, Spanish or Portuguese would be an advantage, along with knowledge and understanding of the higher education sector.
This post is fixed-term, part-time until March 2018 (maternity cover). It is based in Oxford, UK at Oxford University.
