Dear Mike,
By the way,
I’m off to see “Silence” by Martin Scorsese, a USA resident that directed a movie about Portuguese Jesuit priests in Japan, based in a USA resident's novel, made with USA resident consultants (historians and plain Jesuits), and some USA resident actors.
Thank you Martin S. and others for stepping out of your USA wall.
Best,
Eduardo

Dear Mike,
It is difficult to have a discussion with people whom, for any reason are just able to read things literally.
I do not make claims. My discourse is indifferent from those “claims”. I really don’t know if Obamacare is better or worse for residents in the United States of America. What I’m saying is that if by eliminating Obamacare things get worse, they will get worse on women.
So, the conclusion of my post is: any form of human oppression, or social contempt (in any part of the world), if happen, will have harder consequences on women, period!
I’m allowed to say “period”? Am I? Not being a resident… Also, since I saw roughly 100 000 people angry with the present tenant of that lovely Pensilvania Avenue white mansion parading very near, I might start getting to the conclusion that (resident) women in the United States of America are, I would say, a little bit concerned about what the present administration will bring them in the future.
Anyhow, President Trump already disproved what I said yesterday. Torture will much more likely have harder consequences on men than in women.
Best regards,
Eduardo

Eduaardo:
You wrote:
"By abandoning Obamacare, women will suffer more by far."
Do you feel you have the knowledge, the perspective, to make this claim?
Eduaardo all I know of you is what I read on your drawing spaces web page. From that I assume you are not a resident of the United States and then I assume you do not have much direct experience and perhaps as much knowledge as you would need hold the opinion above on ObamaCare and women's health in relation to it. On the other hand, you framed your statement above by writing "women seem to be treated or untreated in this new administration" tempering your comments with a degree of uncertainty. Perhaps you intended your ObamaCare statement not to be taken literally but illustratively and speculatively.
But why did you pick "this current administration" and why "ObamaCare"? They are not the subjects of this list or this thread.
There are relatively few contributors on this thread from my country, the United States of America (not just "America"), so on behalf of my country I invite the participants to review this thread and reflect on the number of strong statements about President Trump and my country and the knowledge basis of those opinions. Opinions I call them in ignorance, because I have no way of knowing how familiar you are, or and not, with our context here. If all you read is the news media then you are sadly misinformed.
As people who presume to be responsible scholars I urge you to look to see if stating as fact strong opinion based on little knowledge is good scholarship or even responsible human citizenship. And "lay off" making my country and our president the "whipping boy" for your principles. Use examples from your own context where you likely have more knowledge.
The tone and content of this post are an attempt to act out my plea for grace. To the extent that in my writing this post I have failed to exhibit grace, I apologize in advance for my inadequacy.
