Dear experts,

I am carrying out an analysis of deep grey matter with FSL-FIRST. Out of approximately 50 subjects in 10 get problems with globi pallidi (GP), all other structures that I am interested in are segmented all right (Thal, Caud, Puta). I use fast as the boundary correction method. 

I run into the following problems:
- with some subjects, I get the name_all_fast_firstseg files but they do not contain GP; when I run the procedure with the -d function, I can see name_Pall_first files (appear OK) and name_corr files, the latter being empty 
- with some subjects I do not get the name_all_fast_firstseg files and there are neither name_Pall_first nor name_Pall_corr files (the respective files for Thal, Caud, Puta are there)
- with some subjects I do not get the name_all_fast_firstseg files and there is a "valid" name_Pall_first file and an empty name_corr file only on one side 

I suppose I have problems at the boundary correction stage.
Would it be justified scientifically to run FSL-FIRST without any boundary correction? Have you seen such papers?
